A compact living solution for those who don't enjoy spending long hours at the stove and prioritize quality rest and sleep.

The living space of a studio apartment, 39 square meters in size, located in western Stockholm includes a living room connected to the kitchen and dining area and a bedroom.

As you can see, the apartment is not cramped precisely due to the small size of the kitchen, which here is represented as a peninsula and cabinets behind it. The peninsula, equipped with a modern cooktop and marble countertop, is complemented by pendant lights and looks very stylish. This design allows for cooking without leaving guests unattended.

However, this solution has its drawbacks. For example, it is unlikely to suit lovers of culinary experimentation: the set of cabinets and shelves for kitchenware and spices here is minimal and suitable only for basic cooking. Moreover, the combined kitchen with the living room requires a powerful extractor hood or the smell of food will inevitably spread throughout the apartment.

For storage, there are spacious wardrobes in the bedroom, a small wardrobe in the living room, and a cabinet on legs in the hallway for hanging outerwear upon returning from the street.

The furniture, décor, and lighting were handled by interior stylists from Scandinavian Homes. The Scandinavian interior in their style features traditional monochromatic finishes, graphic lighting fixtures, textiles on windows matching the wall color, and pastel-colored Vienna chairs that complement a round dining table in the dining area.

The bedroom is decorated with a predominance of gray in finishes and textiles, keeping it clean and simple yet creating an atmosphere conducive to healthy and restful sleep.

It’s not just that: a large-format TV opposite the bed is a good reason to stay home on weekends and spend the whole day in bed watching favorite films. It’s great when small moments of relaxation are thoughtfully planned in the interior design.
