10 Items from IKEA's New Collection That You Will Love

The Ypperlig collection includes various items — from sofas and coffee tables to small accessories such as candle holders and cushion covers. Each of these items is characterized by meticulously designed details and flawless quality — a result of the collaboration between such a powerful brand as IKEA and the talented Danish design duo Mette and Rolf Hay.

1. Coffee Tables

Coffee tables that can be nested inside one another are a timeless invention, but Danish designers gave them the most minimalist form and finish. The tables are made of natural birch, an eco-friendly material, and can be used individually or assembled together. Smaller ones can even be sat on.

2. Candle Holders

Sometimes candle holders become that final touch that transforms a good interior into a flawless one. Especially if you need to add color accents in a room with terracotta, blue or bottle-green walls. Buy two pairs at once — larger groups of these candle holders look more impressive.

3. Cushions

The whole process takes only 30 seconds, and the result is a beautiful, comfortable, light, yet very durable piece of furniture. But it took much more time to come up with this design!

7. Desk Lamp

HAY wanted to create a very elegant lamp, which turned out to be quite complex in manufacturing. It required considerable effort, but everyone was satisfied with the result: a LED lamp of an unusual shape with an integrated dimmer that allows brightness to be adjusted with just one touch.

8. Mirror

These mirrors are made of metal and come in three different sizes and color options (prices also vary). Each one is equipped with a small shelf where you can store small items that usually don’t have their own place. The mirrors were tested for water resistance and are perfect for bathroom use.

9. Shelf

At first glance, a simple shelf — is actually a precisely calculated item: it looks very light because its shelves are made from three boards with air gaps between them. If the wall is painted in a similar light gray tone, the shelves seem to melt into the background and appear weightless.
