Flowers and Color: Artist's Cottage in Australia
The artist Laura Jones calls herself a nomad and doesn't like staying in one place for long. This single-story cottage, 1.5 hours from Sydney with three bedrooms and a wide veranda, she has been renting for the second year.
When Laura moved in, the cottage was already furnished in a cozy provincial country style and fully prepared for full life in it. But of course, the artist couldn't help but add a few personal touches to the interior.

To add individuality to the kitchen, Laura arranged here minimalist chairs with leather seats, which she bought in Sydney. The color and shape fit into the kitchen space like a molded piece. The copper vase and vintage postbox cabinet were found by the artist at one of London's flea markets. The cabinet is now used as a sideboard and perfectly complements the atmosphere in the house.
As small compliments to the camellias outside, Laura duplicated the pink tones in the curtains, patterned cushions and a knitted rug thrown over one of the armchairs.

Of course, the house's decor could have been completely different if it weren't for the paintings. Contrary to popular belief, that artists decorate their homes with their own works, Laura's paintings in this house are like the fingers on one hand (the studio is not included): the girl prefers to admire her paintings when they hang on other people's walls.
Here, the works of friends, also artists. For this interior, Laura chose landscapes and portraits with more paint on them.

In general, the theme of color and flowers is special for the artist, as Laura dedicated a new milestone in her own creativity precisely to this. Take a look at the works in her studio – mostly still lifes with bouquets, a real flower shop! Indeed, moving here had a lot to do with that. Or maybe it's all about camellias?
