The neutral color palette of this apartment is thoughtfully designed so that any color can shine on the walls and floor. For example, with mint accents, it looks cute, modern, and delicious. We tell the details.

This apartment is located in Poznan, with 78 square meters, three rooms, and a spacious common area. The living room, dining room, kitchen were combined, and the hallway was partially included. The interior was designed by Shoko Design, a young Polish team passionate about modern style.

First, subtle color nuances of the walls and two types of flooring – ash wood planks and Moroccan-style ceramic granite – divided the common area into more distinct zones. The pattern on the tiles required support, and designers replicated its geometry in the sofa cushions in the living room.

Functional zones were also defined by another old reliable method – lighting. Each zone now has its own lamp, and above the bar counter, there are two lights.

The kitchen in this apartment is a clear example of how simple color accents can 'color' a black-and-white space. With mint tableware, the retro Smeg refrigerator in the same shade looks absolutely charming.

The guest room with a comfortable workspace is decorated following the same neutral-mint principle as the common area. The bedroom, however, is different. Here, terracotta bricks and many graphite-toned details are used, including a tall, spacious wardrobe – the main storage space for clothes.

What you will definitely find everywhere in this interior is trendy accents and accessories – pillows, rugs, and towels with text, wall decor in the form of buttons, and light string decorations. Of course, there is a risk that all this will lose relevance in a few years.

But that’s not a reason to abandon trends. After all, some accessories can be easily replaced with others, and if mint becomes outdated, repainting the lamps and buying new tableware won’t be too much trouble. The universality and neutrality of the apartment’s finishing are key signs that this is a thoughtfully and practically designed interior.
