Typical Swedish Cottage with Very Cozy Interior
A three-bedroom seaside house in Karlshamn with an area of about 360 square meters did not seem spacious enough to Ulrika Vilborg, but she was completely satisfied with its condition and layout.

For help with decorative questions, Ulrika, following her friend's advice, turned to a design consultant who works under the guidance of the famous Catherine Ireland. Catherine specializes in home textiles, and her team consists of true professionals in fabrics and textures. Although the final result only vaguely resembles Catherine Ireland's signature style, the textiles in this interior were chosen truly masterfully.

To create the atmosphere of a country house at its best, emphasis was placed on pale walls, textured textiles, and natural materials. The interior furnishings were multicultural: American furniture, Belgian and French fabrics, tins of English paint Farrow & Ball – all packed into shipping containers and shipped from Los Angeles to Sweden.

What is important is that this interior was not assembled from catalogs; it was tailored to the house, adapted to the needs of its inhabitants, and enriched with local decor.
For example, a large dining table in shabby-chic style was personally waxed by Ulrika to protect it from damage – the children in the house are growing up. The botanical prints in the living room were bought by Ulrika's husband at a local bookstore in Karlshamn. There, they also found a vintage school poster with turtles for one of the children.

The couple immediately discarded the idea of dollhouse-style interiors for their children: the rooms for their four-year-old daughter and sons aged five and eight were decorated with a bit of extra space, just like the rest of the home, with an impeccable textile story.
