  • glass jar of any size and shape;
  • natural material (pinecones, fir branches, chestnuts);
  • dried oranges;
  • buttons of various sizes;
  • decorative New Year branches with cones and berries;
  • artificial snow in a can;
  • felt;
  • twine;
  • scissors;
  • glue tube or glue gun for crafts.

1. Cut out a suitable piece of felt and glue it onto the jar. If you want to create a romantic or softer decor, use lace, flower mesh, or sisal.

2. Wrap the neck of the jar tightly with twine. Secure the beginning and end of the twine with glue.

3. Glue the oranges – they will become the basis of the composition.

4. Decorate the jar with pinecones and fir branches (it's better to use artificial ones – they don't fall apart).

5. Glue decorative branches to balance the composition. Then add smaller elements – chestnuts and buttons.

6. The finishing touch – artificial snow from the can. It will give the candle holder a polished look and create a New Year mood.
