Traveling Together: A 1950 Ranch House Transformed into a Cozy Cottage
The extraordinary nature and magical garden landscape inspired the owners to create an impressive eco-style creative renovation.
Once, the designer Suzanne Anthony from the USA had a medieval old ranch house from the 1950s in her design portfolio. And instantly, an idealistic image of a countryside cottage in a gentle doll-like style emerged. The owner of the ranch was a school teacher who loved her garden most of all. She devoted all her creative energy and resources to maintaining its beauty and order. This could not be said about the interior of the house.

The designer was enchanted by the variety of green shades surrounding her and chose these tones for the exterior of the house, adding soft wheat and cream colors.

After the renovation, the plot acquired a small step - the lower level for garage access and an asphalt area.

The entrance to the main part of the house was paved with granite, which together with carved wood invites guests into the cozy charm and coolness of the home.

All interior items were brought by the owner from her previous life in a large family home and seamlessly integrated into the new interior, making it feel familiar and lived-in.
