The Sou sofa by Teruhiko Yanagihara for Offecct is made from different layers, allowing free design of various forms and functions for public spaces. Inspiration came from the famous French dessert mille-feuille, consisting of several layers and allowing various variations. The name sou comes from the Japanese word chisou, meaning layer, with the prefix chi (base) and suffix sou (layer).

Experimenting with visual effects, the design studio Front brought a collaboration with EFG and created the sofa Ori. Geometry and origami became inspiration for the pleated construction, back line, and side suspension, which together with a curved wooden base create an expressive silhouette.

Layered launches a new sofa within the Recycling collection concept: Rosso Play — a limited series of sofas made from local textile scraps produced by Ludvig Svensson.
