TIA Wellness Resort Expands Voice Offerings in Vietnam
DA NANG, VIETNAM (January 19, 2023) — The first all-spa inclusive resort in Vietnam to survive the pandemic as Fusion Maia Da Nang has emerged from quarantine as TIA Wellness Resort and is raising the bar for health in the country through a variety of new initiatives.
"There was some time when it was hard to see light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, but we knew it was there," said Ramon Imper, general manager. "We also knew that stepping into those rays of light would bring a greater need for spaces offering truly nourishing health experiences, not just standard spa treatments."
TIA stands for "ray" (of light) in Vietnamese and expands boundaries across multiple dimensions, developing the concept of all-inclusive wellness. The new app, a new fitness center, a new series of free classes and fresh healthy culinary options reflect various aspects of TIA Wellness Resort's new positioning.

To ensure guests maintain healthy habits even after their stay, the resort has been developing its own app for over 12 months and is ready to unveil it in April of this year. The app acts as a digital health guide guests can use before arrival, during their stay and post-resort. It also functions as a concierge for personalized health experiences.
After Fusion redefined itself as TIA, the resort created more comprehensive wellness-focused accommodation options by introducing "Wellness Inclusive" and "Retreat Inclusive" packages. Guests choosing Wellness receive two spa therapies per day along with a wide range of health events including yoga, tai chi and breathing practices. A personalized wellness guide accompanies guests throughout their stay with a customized plan that includes all Wellness offerings, plus a plant-based breakfast and more specialized retreat therapies available only to participants.
Each personalized stay falls under one of two main categories known as Silence and Surge. The first is aimed at cultivating inner calm and self-awareness while the second helps guests make a creative surge and embrace self-expression. Daily creative workshops, first introduced on-site, form the foundation of both offerings and help guests express and release emotions through guided artistic activities.

"The path to health should not end at the spa area and it shouldn't be standard," said Ramon. "Although slowing down is necessary, especially in a fast-paced world, we understand that different things work differently for different people. As the brand grows, we are launching new procedures and classes to meet evolving needs."
In 2023, the resort's poolside fitness center will undergo a full renovation to better embody the concepts of Silence and Surge. A new 100-square-meter fitness center will be added to create two distinct spaces—one for Silence and one for Surge. Class schedules are expanding to include more physically intense workouts, complementing the current offerings of yoga, breathing practices, tai chi and self-analysis-based creative activities held daily for all guests.
Located on pristine beaches between the bustling port city of Da Nang and the charming UNESCO World Heritage site Hoi An, the resort debuted as TIA Wellness Resort in March 2021. Eighty-seven private villas with pools, ranging from one to three bedrooms, radiate from the central 22-room wellness center.

All 60 wellness therapists are trained in Reiki, a Japanese energy healing practice, and apply a holistic approach to a broad spectrum of therapies including sound bath therapy, meridian therapy, calming and relaxing aromatherapy massages, Himalayan stone heat therapy, nourishing wraps using local ingredients and cleansing scrubs and facials.
The resort's wine list was also updated deep into the pandemic when it became clear that shifting from taste-based wine selection to a wellness-conscious menu was an opportunity. The team recently launched the first and only fully organic, biodynamic and sustainable wine list in Vietnam with over 40 varieties from different countries.
The Nourish concept features an innovative kitchen where around half the dishes are plant-based nourishing options. TIA offers guests a choice of two restaurants, along with breakfast throughout the day and room service. All menus are developed around the concept "Eat Lightly, Feel Brighter," reflecting how food choices impact overall well-being. Dishes are rated on a scale from 1 to 10, where lower ratings correspond with nutrient-dense meals that support higher vitality and ease digestion and mood.
"We leave no stone unturned, striving to find ways to support the overall wellness of every guest and the health of our planet," said Ramon. "We believe in providing wellness across all aspects of our resort, but we are still hoteliers and this is not a military camp. Balance matters, and our guests leave refreshed and inspired, understanding that they had a wonderful vacation."
