Texture House by Roberto Benito Arquitecto
Texture House is a luxurious modern home located in San Francisco, Cordoba, Argentina. This single-story contemporary house with an area of just under 4000 square feet features minimalist, naturally lit interior spaces opening onto a private courtyard. The project was developed by Roberto Benito Arquitecto studio, the same studio that previously created the Linear House project.

The studio's ongoing search for textural architecture may be particularly evident in this house. The emphasis on materials, presented through openness and honesty of natural finishes, gives it greater significance in expression.
Conceptually, the house consists of opaque perimeter enclosures, exposed concrete walls cast in layers with varying components, giving them a geological layer appearance. Above these walls forming blocks that separate and define space is a slab of precast concrete beams visible from within. The upper covering consists of aluminum foil. This large 'lid' is expressed as a rusted metal strip along the perimeter, which in some areas extends volumetrically to the floor.
Space division and de-aggregation were fundamental in achieving internal/external continuity of spaces according to their use and privacy. Three columns participating in the large space, some exposed pipes, and a smooth cement floor with metal and glass partitions create the main room, square-shaped with two transparent and two opaque sides for displaying artworks and books, featuring a certain industrial style... A hidden Loft in a low-density area. An angular section allowing for distinct entrances.
Private rooms are separated but connected through a shared internal courtyard. Landscape design was developed considering local plant species representing the regional vegetation and facilitating better adaptation.
A place created for meeting friends, honoring gastronomy in all forms, but also for promoting a calm and reflective life. Indicating its modesty from the outside while demonstrating its own character, it opens up and allows full realization of its potential.
