SUNAC – Moganshan Valley by ZOOM Design

Since ZOOM DESIGN has extensive experience in designing cultural and tourism-related projects, including planning, design, and implementation of numerous cultural and tourist districts covering hundreds of thousands of square meters, they took on a soft design approach for this project. This includes an exhibition hall, café, rooms of 50, 70 and 120 sq meters, as well as individual cabins. In the design of this project, as an observer and researcher in culture and tourism, ZOOM DESIGN explores various spatial experiences from a modern perspective using insight and professional knowledge.

By combining the characteristics of individual rooms with the overall qualities of the entire space, the designer connects the internal spirit of the product, the landscape of life and service, creating a poetic lifestyle in harmony with nature. The designer demonstrates the originality of space by connecting it to nature through a staircase. In the design of this project's living room, the designer forms a spatial frame and cubic structure in response to modern elements with simple styles, making this project outstanding and classic. Nature is born to be the star of this space. The shadow of bamboo and mountains lying on the wall, along with transparent glass with sunset and wind, creates richness in interest.

As the first rural cultural and tourism project from SUNAC, Moganshan Valley occupies approximately 680 acres of undeveloped land in Wukanjien, Guoqiao, Dacheng, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Supporting a modern lifestyle with poetic and refined Gan Nan culture, this project meets the needs of urban dwellers in a contemporary landscape of life.

Consistent with nature, the design is based on original conditions and spatial aesthetics. The idea of living in harmony with life, which ZOOM Design conveys, is based on the consistency between people and others, nature, space and life — this is pure force without limitations of form or idea. Therefore, the designer seeks to create this café shop as a poetic space and cozy dwelling.

This project includes a water bar, dining area, meeting zone, terrace and other areas, providing endless possibilities for everyday life of residents. Harmonious nature, rich humanities and diverse life constitute the media design elements when creating space and landscape. From a designer's perspective, structure and porcelain carry meaning beyond themselves. Similar free proportions and irregular spatial arrangements realize the transformation of space from exterior to interior. The abstract painting exists equally in all four seasons, then art integrates with nature, presenting an ideal landscape.

From the perspective of ZOOM Design, naturalism is born as a medium between design and spirit. The original and natural landscape, enhanced with artificial and subtle elements, balances life and elevates its quality.

In the 120 sq meter space, residents maintain an elegant naturalism and pursue a high quality of life. They invite friends for joyful weekends, listening to vinyl music, smoking cigars and drinking vodka. In the design of this room, the designer values graceful lines and unique autumn mountain colors, choosing warm gray as the main tone with touches of mature orange, creating a warm, gentle and noble atmosphere in this space.

Autumn symbolizes harvest joy, flowers and trees on the hills — this is a gift from nature. Trying to create this space as a second home, we hope to form new options for tourism through spatial design and changing the external landscape, allowing poetic space to emerge in this project.

Diverse accessories and decorations fill the world of life and spirit — leather indicates refined living, implying artistic painting as a sound of taste. Maple leaves, dark brown coffee color conveys modern essence. Flowers form nature, composing the trail of life. The flow of shadows playing in space outlines furniture and decorations, reshaping the dynamics of luxurious and elegant life, enhancing comfortable perception.

One of the main features of this residence is the ability to observe panoramic views without leaving the room. Each window serves as a means of capturing the best scenery, making the interior harmonious with external art: wooden tables, leather chairs, bronze lamps, rough vases, fruits and mountain wood. Residents can enjoy the scenery from different angles, harmoniously and elegantly.

Continuously following the idea of living in harmony with life, ZOOM Design endeavors to create a poetic space with natural landscape in this project through detailed angles and colorful scenes. Studying the fields of spatial design, life landscapes and community interaction, ZOOM Design aims to meet ideal client positioning and long-term spatial plans — people can turn tourists into permanent residents, enjoying a comfortable modern life, responding to nature through inner motivation and landscape.
