Residential House Sabara by Padovani Arquitetos Associados
The Sabará Residence was designed by architects Padovani Arquitetos Associados and located in Campinas, Brazil. The house was built for a couple with two young daughters, the architects aimed to optimize and integrate internal and external spaces, creating an intimate connection with the natural environment.
The house features a central atrium with a double-height ceiling, which houses a tropical garden and staircase connecting and organizing the spaces and walkways of the residential house. The living room and dining area, fully opening to the backyard garden, are located under a balcony block that opens onto the front and lower parts of the plot. The outdoor space was designed with a stone gabion bench and earth fire pit next to the rich jabuticabeira tree Sabará, which dominates the backyard and gives its name to the house.

The house was designed for a couple with two young daughters. A compact and functional home, optimized and integrated internal and external spaces, landscape design integration and natural lighting effects. To intelligently optimize placement on a compact lot, the project uses legislation allowing construction on the side of the plot.
On the right side of the lot, two panels marked by a cement floor create a supporting element for the upper balcony block that opens onto the front and lower parts of the plot through large sliding panels made from composite wood. Under this block, the living room and dining area open fully onto the rich jabuticabeira Sabará that rules in the backyard and gave its name to the house.
Next to the jabuticabeira, landscape designer Alexandre Furcolin created a square with a stone gabion bench and earth fire pit. At the heart of the house, the double-height atrium contains a staircase and tropical garden that organizes and connects residential spaces and walkways. Through this important central element, the floors of the house integrate internally and also integrate the family into everyday life, which is an important dream for the couple.
