Premiá de Dalt House by ALVMTR + Alejandro Suarez

Premiá de Dalt House is a beautiful modern home for a young couple located on the outskirts of Barcelona. The project was developed in collaboration between ALVMTR and Alejandro Suarez, offering 1500 square feet of stunning living spaces.

The house located in Premiá de Dalt (a district on the outskirts of Barcelona) is a new home for a young couple, situated on a steep slope with an exceptional panoramic sea view. The project was meant to provide a communal living space with street access, integrated kitchen, two bedrooms, flexible space for daily use or office, two bathrooms, toilet and garage.

The project was organized on two levels. The open first floor of public character, without internal partitions and with large windows for terrace access, aims at creating a living space strongly connected to the exceptional surrounding environment. Private rooms are located on the second level in search of intimacy.

This idea is implemented through a vertical plane: a double-height opening connects public life with private life on the upper level, creating an open and flexible zone that organizes and distributes all rooms around itself.

Externally, this public and private level structure is clearly expressed. Reinforced concrete enclosing walls embedded into the hillside slope, along with steel H-columns allow for large windows forming a base of exposed concrete and transparent surfaces. While the upper level is covered with four PVC panel facades with wooden finish, equipped with sliding panels for sun protection and views. The design features clean lines, no ornamentation, and attention to detail.
