Nick House by Troyano Arquitetura
Troyano Arquitetura designed the Nick House in Porto Alegre, Brazil. This single-story family home with an area of approximately 4,000 square feet features modern living spaces distributed across one floor around a central courtyard with beautifully landscaped grass.

Completed in 2017, the Nick House is a single-story residence located in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The program is divided into two parallel blocks: an intimate front zone and a public area on the lower part of the site.
The connection between these blocks is achieved through a perpendicular and glazed corridor that creates a spacious inner garden to the north and a small service area to the south.
The idea of rationality and simplicity is expressed in several details — both in the geometric form and in the choice of materials. Exposed concrete is a prominent element and appears almost in all external walls.
A pre-cast waterproof concrete slab is installed on the roof, supporting upper concrete beams with textured stucco coating painted black. This serves as a belt and marks the end of the building. Large windows in the public area connect it to courtyards and ensure excellent air circulation within the rooms.
