New Life for an Old Chandelier
Looking at this chandelier, you might think it's a designer piece that will easily decorate the interior of a country house or city apartment.
In fact, this is simply a redesign of an old chandelier, and there's nothing complicated about it. You'll only need a minimum of tools and effort to make your own custom chandelier.

So, to transform an old chandelier into a piece of admiration, we will need:
- a chandelier;

- matte paint for metal and wood;
- wire;
- pliers;
- wire cutters;
- scissors;
- twine;
- flexible branches for decoration (willow, grapevine, etc.).

First, remove the bulbs from the chandelier and cover the contacts with something secure. For example, you can place fabric or an old newspaper in their place. This is done to prevent the paint from getting on the contacts, otherwise the chandelier won't light up.

Then, using twine, secure the branches. To give the branches the desired length and shape, use pliers and scissors.

When you've shaped the chandelier, you can paint it. Use paint that highlights the room's interior where the chandelier will hang. Don't be afraid to experiment – you can make it boldly red or golden, or paint it in several different colors. If you want the chandelier to look as natural as possible, paint just the chandelier in beige before attaching branches. The only limitation is your imagination.

Wait for the first coat of paint to dry, and then apply a second coat.
If you want to achieve a shabby chic (aged) effect, rub some elements with fine-grit sandpaper. Then you can screw in the bulbs.

The chandelier is ready. You can now connect it and admire the fruits of your labor!
