It is much more convenient to use paper kitchen towels than cloth ones.

They are always within reach, easy to use for drying hands and tables, and polishing glasses. Most importantly, there's no need to wash them constantly. Especially since stains from vegetables, fruits, and grease are hard to remove.

To keep paper towels always within reach, you need a special holder. We suggest making it yourself instead of spending money on one in the store. The whole process will take about 20 minutes.

To make the «Taksa» holder for kitchen paper towels, you will need:

  • cardboard;
  • glue;
  • scissors.

Cut two rectangles from thick cardboard and roll them into tubes. Glue them together. The diameter of the tubes should be slightly smaller than the holes in the paper towel roll.

Take a long strip of cardboard and fold it along the edge. Make front and back legs, a tail, and ears.

For «Taksa» to stand firmly on its feet, the cardboard must be thick enough.

Roll two small rectangular pieces of cardboard into cylinders and glue them together. These will be the neck and head.

Now connect all parts together. Make cuts in the body-cylinder for the legs. Insert a folded cardboard strip into these cuts.

Two parts should result: front and back.

To easily replace the used paper towel roll with a new one, connect the two parts using a smaller-diameter cardboard cylinder. It should fit snugly into both halves of the holder.

You can now paint or decorate your «Taksa» as you wish. You can do a decoupage or paint it. By the way, this project can also be done with kids. This simple activity helps develop their imagination and creativity!

A kitchen with such a stand will always be cozy, clean, and cheerful!
