Getting to know this house near Vilnius should begin with its surrounding area, because without it, this would have been a completely different story. The owners were gifted an incredibly beautiful plot of land: a small picturesque clearing on a slope right in the heart of dense forest. The house is situated at the highest point of this clearing, providing the owners with magnificent panoramic views of the distant city. The house is built from wood but architecturally it is an interesting contemporary two-level building of irregular shape with glass walls and open plan. The design is dominated by clean lines and minimalist forms, with a focus on the feeling of space and natural light. By the way, the project was recently awarded a prize in a prestigious architectural category.
