Tent House in New Zealand
Tent House, or Tent House — a country cottage designed in New Zealand by the studio leader Chris Tate Architecture, Chris Tate, for himself.
The building area is 70 square meters, and it is compact and very functional. During periods when the cottage is not in use, it can be rented as short-term accommodation or a space for photo shoots.
The house includes an open living area, a fully functional kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom on the upper floor.
The triangular terrace is designed to create the illusion of shadow cast by the sharp roof of the building.
Chris built most of the house with his own hands, using the help of architecture students, making it almost an experimental process.
