Art Lover's New York Apartment
Thanks to the industrial-style buildings where in the 20th century most of the art studios and galleries were located, the Soho district in New York became a favorite place for artists. Today, it still features numerous galleries, boutiques and restaurants, while lofts that once housed art studios now serve as apartments. This one is a perfect example. Designer Samuel Amoyia created a wonderful living space for a pair of collectors: modern, stylish and cozy, which also functions as a personal gallery. The interior is designed in cream and milk tones with additions of gray, brown and black. Classical elements are nicely balanced by live and artificial floral arrangements. Perhaps some may find such an interior too conservative, but for valuable artworks it's often hard to find the right 'setting,' yet in this case the designer succeeded brilliantly.
