Apartments in Lisbon, Portugal, designed by the architectural firm rar.studio are located in a building from the second half of the 19th century. The updated interior design not only meets the owner's desires but also reflects the historical characteristics of the architecture. The space of three central rooms was equipped as walk-in closets with sufficient storage space, maintaining the open-plan layout of the apartment. Some elements of the kitchen decoration and furniture, such as 19th-century tiles, were preserved, but most of the elements required replacement or restoration. The two bathrooms were structurally reworked and finished with Portuguese pink and tiger marble. The architects' work also included installing new lighting, heating, and electrical systems that meet modern needs of the apartment's residents.
