Combining Two Apartments in Paris
Project bureau Eitan Hammer Architecture developed the interior of a duplex in Paris, France. The residence is based on two apartments with a total area of 180 square meters and belongs to a family with three children. Initially, they were owners of only one apartment, but later acquired the second one located on the floor above. By combining the residences and removing all walls and partitions, architects created an open living space on the upper level, while four bedrooms appeared downstairs. The parent's bathroom adjoins their room, as well as the wardrobe and office, while the children use a shared bathroom with a separate toilet. The day zone includes the entrance hall, wardrobe, living room, kitchen, dining room, guest toilet, and terrace. The owners wanted sufficient storage space, so architects designed various wardrobe-transformers customizable according to the residents' needs.
