Creating a Summer Mood with Butterflies and Flowers
With the arrival of the long-awaited summer, people not only want to feel the appropriate mood in their hearts but also in their homes.
Therefore, for those who want to create beauty and coziness in their homes, this article will be useful. Everyone knows that the constant attributes of summer are none other than butterflies and bright flowers. At the same time, it is considered that spring flowers find their reflection in tulips, peonies, roses, asters, and snowdrops.
However, this does not mean that in the middle of an apartment we will set up a flower bed, plant the necessary flowers, and release butterflies. Not at all. Everything will be much more original and simple. Because you can make a butterfly or flower yourself at home.
Just imagine how happy your loved ones will be when the apartment turns into a blooming garden of bright flowers and colorful butterflies.
Besides, this decoration you can easily remove at any time: from curtains, sofas, chairs, wardrobes, or flower pots.
Making Butterflies
Butterflies are usually made from paper or thin nylon fabric. However, the fastest and easiest option that doesn't require significant financial investment is creating butterflies from thin colored paper. For this purpose, corrugated paper, cardstock, or scrapbooking paper, as well as thin or thick wire of any color, is suitable.
Let's start:
Step 1. Cut out two or four squares of the desired size from paper or fabric and round off the sides so that they look like wings. If you want to create a butterfly with two wings — cut out two squares, if four — four squares. Two of them should be smaller in size than the others.
Step 2. Fold the paper wings like a concertina, and treat the edges of fabric wings with a thin strip of clear nail polish.
Step 3. Take wire and twist the body of the butterfly to the desired size. Then make antennae for it. If you want to get creative, you can place beads on the body of the butterfly. For this, you need to thread the required number of beads onto the wire and twist the body in the desired angle (beads at the bottom, top, or along the entire length).
Step 4. Insert the ready paper wings into the butterfly's body and screw them in using gentle rotational movements. Fabric wings should be carefully glued with super glue to the butterfly's body.
Step 5. Spread out the antennae and wings of the butterfly. Decorate the wings with glitter, beads, or paint with nail polish, markers, or gel pens.

Making Flowers
Flowers, just like butterflies, can be made from paper or fabric. However, working with paper is much easier. Often, corrugated paper is used because it easily transforms into the desired petal or curl.
For example, you can cut out a small irregular square and fold it into a small rose by pressing it down like a bud. The paper will softly yield to your pressure and take on the desired shape.
Also, a rose can be made by drawing long strips of the same size on paper (preferably in circular form). Cut out the strips and twist them into a bud, sealing the edges with glue.
In the same way, you can create asters. However, they should be made in two or three layers (at your discretion).
To do this, you need to cut identical strips from paper and glue each one in a folded-in-half form to the already cut center of the flower. Remember that it's better to cut strips from paper of different colors (red and pink, white and blue). In this way, you will get bright and vibrant asters.
As for the center of the flowers, you can get creative here. For example, why not make them in the shape of a heart, sun, triangle, or rhombus? Believe us, such original flowers will fit beautifully into your interior and create a truly summery mood.
