Doce Vida House by Studio CK Arquitetura
The Doce Vida house is a beautiful modern home intertwined with nature, located in Gramado, Brazil. Designed by Studio CK Arquitetura, it occupies a large area, offering just over 7,500 square feet.
Intertwined with nature, this house was designed with a strong sense of multiple experimental scenarios. Using brutalist modern architectural style, the organic facade with a massive vertical garden on both sides creates full interaction with nature! An incredible environment for connecting with the outside world and oneself, to enjoy time and a stunning landscape.
From any place in this house, nature is integrated—beautiful Araucaria trees, lawns, water mirror surfaces, fresh air, bird sounds, and natural light that enters through hidden windows and penetrates the basement of the dwelling! This is a true feast for all senses. The main goal of this house is to create many opportunities and experiences so that its residents can live as they please, rather than how the house demands. What could be more valuable?
Doce Vida House – A Home with a Green Soul. This project fully focuses on enhancing the level of sustainability and reducing ecological impacts that can arise from a house of this scale, making it part of the real estate legacy. Confirming its commitment to this vision, the project was founded on five key principles.
100% Clean Energy: We plan to use clean and renewable electricity, meaning 100% of the energy used in the house will be generated via photovoltaic panels installed directly within the dwelling.
Natural Lighting: The house was designed to maximize natural light and reduce energy consumption; Eco-friendly Fireplaces: There are fireplaces using ethanol and certified wood with double combustion, which reduces plant fuel usage by over 50%;
Rainwater Harvesting: The Doce Vida House was built with a rainwater collection system for irrigating horizontal and vertical gardens, as well as water mirrors and cleaning pedestrian walkways. Zero Carbon Footprint: All carbon dioxide produced during construction was accounted for and will be compensated by planting local trees.
