Some of them are slightly simpler, while others require painstaking work over several hours. Whatever you choose, the result will be an original holiday design and a cozy atmosphere. Paper Applique on Windows
This method is familiar to us all from elementary school when we learned to cut out beautiful snowflakes and stick them on windows. Today, you can find countless paper snowflake cutting patterns online, so with a little practice, the snowflakes will turn out very beautifully. They can be glued to windows using soap or PVA glue. But with a bit of imagination, you will realize that you don't have to limit yourself to snowflakes only. You can also cut other New Year's motifs from paper: a Christmas tree, Santa Claus on skis, a snowman, or an entire winter landscape. Combining these elements into a composition on the glass, you can create a whole winter fairy tale in pictures. Another variation of traditional cut-out snowflakes could be snowflakes made using the quilting technique. Creating and gluing such a craft is more time-consuming but results in a three-dimensional and very intricate design.

Winter Decor Using Toothpaste
This method is also not new, but it can be said to be one of the cheapest and fastest ways to decorate a window. Toothpaste is inexpensive, it lasts long on the window, and it's easy to wash off with a damp sponge. The technique for creating this New Year's design is simple: squeeze some toothpaste onto a small piece of foam and just draw on the glass. If you buy several differently colored pastes, you can add color variety to your drawing on the glass.
You can draw anything that your imagination and skill allow: Santa Claus with Snow Maiden, a Christmas tree in the snow, Christmas sweets. By the way, decoration using toothpaste can be combined with applique or artificial snow. This will make the window design very eye-catching. Another option for drawing on glass is using special paints. This kind of decor requires some artistic skills and investment in paint, but the result will be truly amazing and memorable for a long time.

Decorating with Garland
For those who don't want to wash off paint or paper from windows after the holidays, you can simply hang beautiful festive garlands on the windows. To complement the main Christmas tree decorations, make several garlands from beads, pinecones, candies, Christmas ornaments, or any other decorations. Then attach the finished compositions to the window sill or hang them on a strip above the window. Ribbons, raindrops, paper or wire crafts, beads, ribbons – anything you want to decorate your interior can be used here.
The advantage of this kind of decoration is that garlands can be removed, carefully placed into a box, and reused to decorate your home the following year. Another variation of such decoration is the installation of electric lighted garlands. In this case, you'll have to spend some time gluing the garland to the window with tape. Using electric garlands can be difficult if there are no power outlets near the window. But if everything goes well, the window will light up with colorful bulbs and the room will be filled with holiday feelings.
