Decorative Curtain Made by Yourself

An indispensable helper in this matter will be a curtain. Buying curtains nowadays is not a problem – stores offer many options. But it is not always possible to choose exactly what suits you from this variety. Therefore, we suggest making a decorative curtain by yourself.

Making a curtain is not difficult, and no special skills are required. Here's what you need:

• three sheets of MDF or particle board
• aluminum profile
• fabric
• drill
• scissors
• furniture stapler
• door hinges
• screws.

Let's start making a three-panel curtain! It will be practical and beautiful.

Cut the fabric into three equal strips. Their size should be slightly larger than the MDF or particle board panels. Tighten the fabric over the panels and secure it using a furniture stapler.

Trim excess fabric from the panels. Now wrap the panel on the other side and fasten the fabric in the same way using a furniture stapler. Thus, our curtain will be covered on both sides.

It is time to work on the edges of the curtain. For this, use aluminum profiles. They must be cut according to the length of the panels. Then drill holes for mounting the panels (we will use screws). After that, make holes for attaching door hinges.

We have now reached the final stage of making the curtain. Attach the panels to the aluminum profiles using screws. Connect all three parts together with six door hinges.

That's it, the decorative curtain is ready.

By the way, if you plan to install it in a room with high humidity (bathroom), it is better not to wrap the panels in fabric. In this case, they should be painted with acrylic paint.
