Christmas holidays are approaching, and soon you'll have fun decorating the Christmas tree. If you're tired of boring and identical ornaments from the store, you can create unique handmade ornaments decorated with beads, seed beads, and sequins by putting in some effort. It should be noted right away that creating such beauty is a very meticulous task requiring time and patience. But the result will fully justify the time spent.

For the work, we need:

  • round foam ball cutouts (if you don't have them, you can use the cheapest plastic balls from the store);
  • a heat gun for attaching beads;
  • beads, seed beads, sequins, ribbons for decorating the balls.

We start working on the ball by wrapping it with ribbon so that the two free ends of the ribbon serve as bows. Securely attach the ribbon to the ball using glue or pins. Then begin attaching beads or artificial pearls to the ball using the heat gun. This is a meticulous process, so don't rush. Don't dispense large amounts of hot glue at once. You may not have enough time to attach sufficient beads before it cools down. Or, due to rushing, the result might look untidy. It's better to attach 1-3 beads at a time, allowing the glue to cool down properly.

After gluing the first bead near the future bows, it's better to start gluing the rest in even rows, but never chaotically. When forming clear rows, you can cover the Christmas ornament not only with single-color beads but also decorate it with several rows of multi-colored beads or arrange them into patterns.

After the entire surface of the ball is covered with beads and the glue has fully cooled, apply silver or golden seed beads on top of the same glue, decorate the bows so that the ball can be hung on the Christmas tree. As a finishing touch, you can form a beautiful bow at the base of the bows using wide decorative ribbons.

Aside from beads and seed beads, you can also use fancy sequins, glass beads, crystals, decorative cords, lace, tulle, and any other decorative materials for finishing. The principle of decoration remains the same: the material is carefully placed on the glue and left to dry completely. For example, a very eye-catching combination of cream-colored lace and golden beads and snowflake sequins. Another decoration option: a blend of beads and ribbons. However, don't limit yourself to the list of materials provided here—perhaps you'll come up with your own ideas for decorating the balls.

Involve children in the creative process if you have any. Just be careful, don't leave such an activity to small children who might swallow tiny beads or touch the hot parts of the heat gun. However, it's safe to involve school-age children in such decoration, as this activity develops their patience and creative thinking.
