Often we have to work from home. This applies to students, freelancers, and people who sometimes take jobs home. I present several ideas for setting up a home office right in your own home.

If the space in your apartment is separated and you need to set up a workspace in another room, these tips will help you.

First and foremost, you need to be attentive to the furniture you intend to purchase. You must decide how appropriate and suitable this piece of furniture is for your personal "design solution".

Photo 1 — Desk and Shelf in the Form of a Wall Cabinet

The image shows a neat wall cabinet that can be used as a desk and bureau. Files and documents are stored on the shelves and always within view. When the desk is not in use, the cabinet becomes just a cabinet. It also frees up floor space, creating an illusion of more room visually. Thus, you easily and simply get a workspace without extra costs.

If your motto is that everything in your home should have its place and everything should be in its place, then the next suggestion is for you. You can set up a workspace in the kitchen, specifically: right inside the kitchen cabinet.

This requires no additional financial investment. Your home office built into a regular kitchen cabinet can include a desk, several shelves for files, documents and personal items.

There's even space for a contact board attached to the inside of the cabinet door. You can attach a schedule and many other stickers – reminders there. Use a foldable wooden chair. Such a workspace doesn't take up much space and can easily disappear from your attention once you simply close the cabinet.

If you live in a house, it's very convenient to use the staircase for setting up a home office.

Often, the space under the staircase remains unused in the overall interior design. But it can be transformed into a useful and functional office nook.

Mount 3-4 shelves on the wall. One of them can serve as a desk, and the others will be used for storing necessary documents and other small items. A laptop, phone, and perhaps a small side table can easily fit under the desk. Choose an appropriate chair and... voilà – a home office is ready.

Give a second life to your storage room. A built-in cabinet or storage room can be converted into a hidden office.

This idea is similar to the kitchen cabinet office idea, but there's more space in a storage room, and therefore: more room for imagination.

Now the desk not only holds a laptop but also has space for other office supplies. Books, manuals, speakers can be placed on the shelves. Here is a mini-library and a mini-studio. You can also rest from work just as easily by closing the cabinet, turning the room back into a cozy corner for relaxation.

Good transformations and pleasant work from home. I hope these tips help you and inspire you to work and change not only in interior design but also in life as a whole.
