Pupa Teknik Office by IPEK BAYCAN ARCHITECTS

The Pupa Teknik office, designed by Ipek Baycan Architects, is a two-story space located on the top floor of a corner apartment building with double windows.

Considering their working style, the partners needed private rooms for themselves while keeping the main office area at the center of the project. The architects arranged the layout to open up perspectives by placing the office rooms on the building's facades. Glass facades were installed to ensure direct sunlight along the corridor.

The concept is based on creating perspectives through the rotation of internal office facades, opening a central meeting point at the end of the corridor. This oasis at the end serves as a space for informal work and spontaneous meetings, enhanced by amenities that support a creative office environment.

Upon entering the apartment, the reception stands out as part of an internal facade with a slightly different edge. The office spaces offer good area for each partner, along with an additional semi-open relaxation zone. The two-story nature of the office is emphasized by a compact staircase located at the entrance, leading visitors to the common meeting room and relaxation area. At the end of the second floor is the main administrative office with an integrated terrace. Along the staircase gallery, a continuous bookshelf is designed to create a consistent concept across all floors. On the second floor, the bookshelf ends with an integrated kitchen zone as part of a wall. The relaxation area is designed as a foyer for the meeting room and administrative office, allowing informal gatherings.

The choice of colors and transparency is based on the corporate colors and welcoming nature of Pupa Teknik. Dark blue, used in design details, was selected to energize office staff while harmonizing with the glass facades that unite the office spaces yet gently separate them.
