How They Designed a Characterful Bathroom in a Moscow Apartment
Modern minimalism with accents and thoughtful functionality
The bathroom in this project reflects the overall design approach of decorators Ekaterina Mitroshina, Anna Orobinskaya and Natalia Bonik: a blend of minimalist contemporary solutions and delicate ethnic motifs. Here, practicality, aesthetics and family comfort were successfully combined. The space is thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details—from material selection to storage zone organization.
The main accent is placed on natural textures: the walls are clad with ceramic granite featuring a pattern resembling natural stone, giving the room a sense of calm. The contrast is provided by floor coverings in deep dark tones, which visually ground the interior and highlight the lightness of pristine white sanitaryware.
Design: Ekaterina Mitroshina, Anna Orobinskaya and Natalia BonikThe vanity area with two basins immediately solves the morning rituals for the family: no queues or rushing. A suspended wooden cabinet adds warmth, while mirror cabinets above it serve a dual purpose—visually expanding the space and concealing necessary items.
Design: Ekaterina Mitroshina, Anna Orobinskaya and Natalia BonikA practical laundry zone with two machines—washing and drying—is built-in, above which a long work surface and storage system are organized, along with a clothes drying rack. This solution makes the bathroom multifunctional and allows for doing away with a separate laundry room.
Design: Ekaterina Mitroshina, Anna Orobinskaya and Natalia BonikThe toilet and bidet area is designed simply, without unnecessary details, but with decorative accents: paintings and small figurines are placed above the installation, bringing character to the space. A vertical radiator in harmony with the finish became a stylish element rather than just an utility item.
Design: Ekaterina Mitroshina, Anna Orobinskaya and Natalia BonikA large window with a neat pleated curtain fills the space with natural light while maintaining privacy. The view adds liveliness to the interior and emphasizes the connection with nature, which is a core concept of this project.
The bathroom in the residential complex 'Snegiri' is an example of how to combine aesthetics and functionality. It features everything you need: double sink, laundry area, convenient storage systems, a separate bidet and decorative accents. The space is designed to be a place where you want to spend time.
