Wow 82 m² Apartment in Old Foundation with Glass Shower in Bedroom
We created a modern cozy interior, preserving the spirit of the 1910 house
Designer Sabinа Neronova updated the interior of a three-room apartment in a pre-revolutionary house, preserving its historical character. The client is a young man interested in technology. The main goal of the project was to create a modern space where elements of 1910 style and contemporary technological solutions harmoniously blend.
Room tour of this apartment (33 minutes)
The apartment was renovated by the previous owner, whose father was an architect. Most of the finishing work was preserved, walls were repainted, some partitions were built, and modern furniture was added. The apartment includes a spacious kitchen-dining room with a dining area, bedroom with a shower, wardrobe, office, and bathroom.

About the Kitchen-Dining Room
The kitchen space is organically combined with the living room and dining area. Updated paint on the walls and a repainted ceiling exhaust hood give the room a fresh and modern look. The kitchen cabinet remained from previous owners, it is equipped with spacious storage sections. The countertop was updated by sanding, the backsplash was replaced, the faucet and water filter were installed.

The sideboard, painted in the same color as the kitchen cabinet, also remained from previous owners. The client conveniently stores his wine glass collection in it. In the dining area, a modern table and soft chairs were added. Two pendant lights above the table create a cozy atmosphere and well-illuminate the dining area, making it an ideal place for family dinners and gatherings with friends.

The living room is divided into two functional zones: a relaxation zone with a TV and sofa, as well as a cozy library with a stylish shelf in the style of Sherlock Holmes. The staircase added to the shelf not only serves as a practical element but also becomes an interesting interior accent. On the wall in the shelf area, authentic brick was preserved and painted white.

About the Bedroom
A floating bed with backlighting was installed in the bedroom, creating a cozy atmosphere. The headboard wall remained in brick, so the wiring was done openly. A painting drawn by the client's daughter is mounted on the wall.

An interesting feature of the bedroom was a glass shower installed in place of the old narrow bathroom. It includes a shower, sink, toilet, and storage space. The ceiling above the shower was lowered to integrate ventilation. Various lighting scenarios and well-thought-out details helped create a comfortable and stylish relaxation zone.

About the Office
Convenient zones for programming, 3D printing, and sports activities were organized in the office. This creates a comfortable atmosphere for hobbies and supports productive work. A spacious desk is located by the window, and next to it is a pegboard with necessary tools. There is also a large open shelf for storing materials and equipment.

About the Bathroom
A small laundry area is located at the entrance to the bathroom, opposite it is a utility room for a vacuum cleaner, ladder, and other household items. The highlight of the space is a window that adds light. The sink and bathtub remained from previous owners and are in the same style. The design is complemented by a mirror with backlighting and a functional cabinet for storage.

About the Entrance Zone
The entrance zone was separated from the living room using a partition with an impressive false ceiling. A wardrobe for clothes was left here, which frames the entrance to the bathroom and complements the interior with a cozy sofa and floor coat hanger.
