Before and after: how we transformed a 37 sqm panel apartment hallway on a budget

At the start of the work, the hallway had a standard renovation that looked very boring and lifeless. The lack of interesting design and comfortable elements made the space unattractive to future tenants.

After renovation, the hallway transformed. The walls were painted over wallpaper — this is not only a budget-friendly but also practical solution. To add visual interest, one of the walls was made an accent wall by painting it in a rich red color. This bold choice creates a striking focal point that draws attention and sets the mood for the entire space.

Several key elements were designed for convenience and comfort. A wall-mounted coat hanger provides easy access to outerwear, while a soft footstool allows comfortable changing of shoes. A wall mirror serves its main function and visually expands the space, adding extra light.

A shelf for keys and decor was installed on one of the walls, which increased the functionality of the hallway and added a stylish accent to the interior. These carefully planned details make the setup more practical and attractive.

The door handle on the entrance door was replaced with a black one to match the accent colors of the interior. The storage room doors were painted in the same color as the walls, making them less noticeable. It's worth noting that nothing was changed in the storage room from the previous owner — it still has convenient shelves. The installed lock ensures security, and the storage room is now used by the owner for storing items needed when hosting guests, such as consumables and bedding.

Budget solutions and creative techniques made this hallway cozier and more thoughtfully designed. The special atmosphere created by the smart use of color and functional solutions will allow residents to feel comfortable and inspired every day.
