Bathroom in a Small Studio Apartment: 5 Inspirational Ideas
In cramped bathrooms, every detail matters — from tile color to storage solutions
In this Moscow apartment, designers didn't skimp on beauty and made the bathroom not only practical but also visually striking. Designers Irina Primak and Anna Kudrina decorated a small apartment for rent, but designed the interior as if it were their own.
Despite its modest size, the bathroom turned out especially stylish and cozy — with no clutter or unnecessary items and a nod to the aesthetics of the mid-20th century. Take note of these interesting ideas.
Retro Tile Style
The walls and floor feature tile from Kerama Marazzi. But it's not about the brand — rather, it's about the atmosphere created by the finish: designers opted for vertical tiling to visually elongate the space, while a calm pinkish tone softens the strict geometry.

For the bathroom, they chose restrained furniture — it doesn't draw unnecessary attention but is functional. This is especially important in compact spaces. Light color and clean lines make the room feel lighter and more open.

Tile on Floor and Walls — But Different
Another smart move that can be replicated in any bathroom: designers chose a unified material but used different formats or layouts. The tile on the floor and walls complements each other beautifully without blending into one single look — making the room appear deeper.

Instead of accessories and decor, the focus is on color tones. The same dusty pink chosen for the tile sets the mood and makes the interior memorable. In a small bathroom, this is especially important: when there's no room for decor, the interior must rely on materials and color.
