The apartment owner is an investor who lived in France for a long time. The designers paid homage to Moscow intellectual classicism and added French charm.

When designers had only 36 square meters at their disposal, every corner required a careful approach. Irina Primak and Anna Kudrina, founders of the studio 'Dara,' took on the task of breathing new life into a small apartment ready for rent in what was once the Ukraine hotel building.

They managed not only to preserve the architectural uniqueness but also create a modern, thoughtfully designed space. The kitchen became a highlight: designers ordered custom-sized cabinets, chose an expressive color for the facades, and integrated appliances in a way that nothing distracts from the overall rhythm of the interior.

The kitchen in this compact apartment was designed to be as light and functional as possible. Minimal upper cabinets, but every centimeter is used wisely.

The cabinet was made to order and perfectly fit the non-standard layout, becoming one of the main focal points due to its deep pine facade color. The shade looks both fresh and restrained — it doesn't clash with the building's architecture but adds character to the design.

The backsplash was tiled with Idalgo ceramic granite, and the floor received Kerama Marazzi tiles — a practical and durable solution especially for an apartment intended for rental.

All appliances, from the oven to the cooktop, are from Korting brand. They were neatly integrated and don't draw attention. The sink was installed by Wisent, the faucet chosen is from Gappo, and minimalist light fixtures from ST Luce provide lighting over the work zone.

Thanks to careful color selection and minimalist forms, the kitchen became more than just a cooking area — it organically fits into the overall concept with hints of Moscow intellectual classicism and a light touch of French elegance.
