6 Creative Design Solutions from a Bold Designer Project

Designers Irina Lavrentieva and Anastasia Kamen-skikh from the Lavka Design studio created a vibrant and memorable interior in a 1920s-style house. We showcase amazing ideas from the project that are definitely worth your attention.

Kitchen in French Café Style

Wallpaper with a rhythmic pattern, floor tiles in a chessboard layout, an original apron with a border, and a small tea area near the window — the kitchen interior resembles a French café. A stylish accent was the copper range hood in retro style.

Vibrant Wallpaper

For wall decoration in each room, vibrant wallpapers with playful prints were used. They attract attention and help create a truly stylish, unconventional, and memorable interior. Posters-announcements from the 1920s of the previous century complemented the creative design.

Fake Fireplace in the Living Room

The fireplace portal is made of plaster and coated with matte black paint. Set against a turquoise wall and combined with a gilded mirror frame, it looks especially stylish.

Display Cabinet in the Niche

In a unique interior, storage should also be non-standard. For example, book storage in the bedroom is organized in a display cabinet built into the niche. The cabinet’s front and body are made in a rich burgundy tone, matching the wallpaper and skirting board.

Impressive Windowsills

Some doors are sliding, while others are decorated with beautiful windowsills. They visually lift the ceilings, adding a note of elegance and luxury.

Red Bathtub

The homeowner’s dream — a bathtub on legs. Originally, the tub was white, but it was painted red on the outside. The bright color is associated with energy and strength, visually warms the space and fills it with comfort.
