5 Great Ideas for Storage in a Small Apartment

This two-room apartment was arranged by designer Alexandra Chastova for herself and her family. On an area of 51 sq. m, she managed to accommodate all functional zones and plan plenty of storage. We share useful ideas from the project — read, get inspired, and choose what suits you best.

Kitchen Cabinet Up to the Ceiling

This is one of the trending options for organizing cabinet facades, where wall-mounted cabinets take up the full height of the wall. A kitchen cabinet up to the ceiling allows for additional storage space for dishes and food.

Multi-functional Storage System

In the kitchen-dining area, furniture from one collection was used. The TV cabinet serves for storage in the living room, while the buffet is for the dining area.

Original Shelf

Above the buffet is a shelf designed according to Alexandra's sketch. It became an original accent, helped rationally use the space, and added another storage spot.

Utility Block in the Corner

During the reconfiguration, the door opening was slightly reduced. This created a niche where storage for household and daily items was organized. Instead of a door, a textile curtain was installed. Using the utility block is very convenient — just pull the fabric aside.

Mobile Shelf

The bathroom is very compact. In addition to a hanging cabinet for storage, a small pull-out shelf was provided. It is convenient to store personal hygiene items or household chemicals that should always be within reach.
