Impressive Transformation in an Old Apartment

Before the designer Tatyana Leitan from the studio Leytan Design, the task was to create a maximally comfortable and stylish interior, taking into account all necessary elements. Initially, the kitchen looked extremely "worn out": wallpapers from Soviet times, dirty paint, old linoleum. After the renovation, the interior became completely unrecognizable, embodying modern style and functionality.

For the walls in the new space, light paint was chosen. The walls were not spackled but painted directly over the plaster. The ceiling above the kitchen cabinet was lowered and painted in a matching color. The wall in the dining area was painted in a dark gray tone, visually zoning the space. Vinyl flooring was installed according to the project.

Original doors were preserved, refreshed with paint — they are an essential part of the Stalin-era atmosphere. The glass window frame increases the area through which natural light enters the hallway.

The backsplash and countertop are made of large-format ceramic granite. The countertop was made deeper, improving ergonomics and increasing the working surface. The tiered kitchen cabinet looks very stylish and makes the setting unconventional.
