We carried out a legal reconfiguration, moved the wet area and provided plenty of storage space.

This three-room apartment in the "euro" format was designed by interior designer Alexandra Chastova for herself and her family. The windows offer a beautiful view of the urban development, parks, and the Ostankino Tower. The main goal was to make the rooms more functional, create a separate bedroom and spacious kitchen-living room.

The layout of the apartment (15 minutes)

The apartment is located in a Moscow new construction built in 2006. The building features enhanced sound and noise insulation. The thickness of the internal load-bearing walls in the apartment is 18-20 cm, which limited the possibilities for reconfiguration. However, a single partition made of gypsum concrete suggested a solution and made it possible to carry out a legal reconfiguration. The partition between the bedroom and the corridor was removed, and the kitchen was moved to where the former wardrobe was located. Two isolated rooms were converted into bedrooms.

Quartz vinyl was laid in the living room in a "Hungarian fir" pattern, and the walls were painted with matte, high-strength paint in a "Ceylon cinnamon" shade. All windows in the rooms were replaced. The anthracite-colored profile fitted well into the interior and served as a delicate accent.

The central element in the living room is a comfortable corner sofa that can be unfolded and used as an additional sleeping place. The multifunctional storage system was divided into two zones: a TV unit in the living room serves for storage, and a buffet in the dining room is for storage.

The countertop for the fold-down table in the dining area is made of composite material with a stone-like texture. The leather chairs draw attention and make the interior visually more luxurious.

The floor in the kitchen area was tiled with ceramic granite. The kitchen cabinet is nearly 3.5 meters long. Its doors are made of MDF, and the countertop and back panel on the splash guard are made of composite material. The kitchen was designed to accommodate all necessary appliances: a built-in refrigerator, microwave oven, dishwasher, 45 cm oven, two-burner stove, and range hood.

A part of the bedroom was designated as a workspace with a desk, a storage unit for appliances, and a chair. The rest of the room is traditionally occupied by a bed with a soft headboard and a wardrobe for bedding. One side of the bed was decorated with a mirror panel and complemented with an original decor in the form of birch trees. These birches are also present on the adjacent wall. They add naturalness to the interior and visually elongate the ceiling.

During reconfiguration, the door opening was slightly reduced and a multifunctional storage system was installed in the niche, hidden behind elegant textile. Opposite the door, a separate wardrobe was built.

The second bedroom was set up in the place of the former kitchen. Since it is used rarely, there is minimal furniture in this room: a wardrobe, bed, nightstand, and a relaxation chair. There are small storage niches under the mattress for storing items.

The entrance hall has the same ceramic granite on the floor as in the kitchen area. The entry zone is compact, featuring an open clothing rack for everyday clothes, a shelf for shoes, a full-length mirror, and a minimalist bench-puff. The entrance hall is separated from the living room by a sliding door.

The bathroom is separate but decorated with the same materials: ceramic granite with a beautiful marble-like texture and moisture-resistant paint. The accent in the bathroom is a wooden cabinet and a textile curtain. A compact and mobile storage system was placed under the sink.
