5 Unconventional Solutions We Spotted in a Small Khрущëvka
We've gathered cool ideas from the project
This bright two-room flat in a khрущëvka was arranged by designer Christina Paterekis for a student girl. She based the design on Scandinavian style with boho elements. We're showing interesting ideas from this project that are worth noting.
One wall in the kitchen was left in brick and painted white. It looks striking, visually corrects the room's geometry, and 'lifts' low ceilings.
Sink by the windowThe sink near the window serves as an informal accent in the room. It's every homeowner's dream — washing dishes while enjoying a beautiful view. This solution also expanded the workspace by utilizing the windowsill, and an extra surface is never a bad thing on a kitchen counter.
Garden furnitureDining area is complemented with woven garden chairs. They blend perfectly into the chosen style and bring a sense of lightness, airiness, and comfort to the interior.
Wardrobes instead of bedside tablesStorage in the small room was organized using two wardrobes symmetrically placed on both sides of the bed. This solution combines convenience, practicality, and stylish design.
Dark bathroomThe walls and ceiling in the bathroom were painted a dark blue tone. This adds depth and volume to the small space. Dark tones invite private rest and relaxation.
