Micro-bathroom with shower in a Khrushchyovka
We tell how in a standard bathroom they made a shower and a wall of glass blocks
Designer Daria Nazarenko completely renovated the standard bathroom in a 28 sq. m. Khrushchyovka flat. To make a cabinet for the washing machine, the bathroom was expanded at the expense of the corridor. The wall adjacent to the kitchen was partially laid with glass blocks to improve lighting and make the interior design more interesting.

Instead of a bathtub, they installed a shower tray and a glass partition. The pipe box for utilities and toilet installation was extended to the ceiling, and niches-shelves were made in it for shampoos and other products – that's convenient.

For finishing the box, they chose mosaic – it is much easier to lay than tiles, and the joints near the hatch are less noticeable. Also, mosaic squares blend well with square glass blocks.

The cabinet and sink are simple in design and visually blend into the small room. The mirror with backlight allows doing without an additional wall lamp.
