Large Format Ceramic Tile in Interior Design: 6 Real Examples
Thoughtful designer solutions
Today, large format ceramic tile is one of the most trending materials for decoration. There are several reasons for this: high resistance to wear, ease of use, impact strength. Moreover, such products beautifully imitate stone, wood and other natural textures. That is why ceramic tile can decorate any room.
We have gathered six impressive examples of using this material in different interiors.
1. Practical Kitchen-Living Room
This space was clad with large format ceramic tile imitating marble by the design studio InsDesign. The TV area in the living room and kitchen island with such finish look fresh and stylish.
Thanks to light tones, the cleaning process on the kitchen was optimized. Also, the color palette fit perfectly into the overall atmosphere of the room.
The living room wall plays on contrast with other elements, visually expanding the space thanks to a deep milk-colored tone with veining.

2. Kitchen and Bathroom in Noble Gray Tones
In this project, specialists from Brush Up Studio focused on natural tones. Ceramic tile imitating marble was used almost throughout the apartment — hallway, toilet, kitchen and balcony.
The countertop texture of the dining table echoes with the kitchen backsplash. This technique unifies the white-gray color scheme of the kitchen and makes the interior look more harmonious.
In the bathroom, a color inversion technique was used for room zoning. Thanks to ceramic tile, this is easily done within one collection: the sink area in white tones and the shower in dark gray.

3. Dark but Not Gloomy Rooms
The designers from Aiya Design did not shy away from decorating a dark room without gloomy elements or heavy atmosphere.
Large windows make the apartment brighter, while ceramic tile in the bathroom and entrance simplifies cleaning.
Large format material imitating stone adorned the kitchen wall, part of the backsplash and the TV area in the living room.

4. Unconventional Design in a Small Apartment
A chamber interior in dark tones was created by designer Mariam Razuvaeva. For instance, the balcony opening with sill and wall was entirely finished with gray ceramic tile.
The highlight of the apartment is a large format panel above the sofa — it looks unusual, adds depth to the room and fits perfectly into the overall concept of the space.

5. Minimalist Interior with Bright Accents
To decorate this two-bedroom apartment, designer Tatiana Miteva used thin large format ceramic tile. It was laid in common areas and the bathroom.
Light tiles imitating marble made surfaces more rhythmic. They also create an interesting contrast with burgundy furniture and soft blue kitchen cabinets.

6. Cozy and Practical Solution
Thanks to large format ceramic tile imitating marble and glass partitions, designer Artem Babayants successfully realized a functional interior with zoning.
On the kitchen, ceramic tile was used for the preparation area, and in the living room — for the TV corner. In addition, the tiles harmonized well with ribbed elements on the bedroom wall.
