Start using them today!
To make your interior unique and unusual, you need to train your eye for design. Often, you can borrow great ideas from other projects that won't hit your family budget and will fit perfectly into the design of your space.
We found six interesting home hacks in our heroes' projects — use them and adopt them for yourself!
Partition Made of Regular Mesh
Photo: instagram.com/ne_stalinkaThere are many options for zoning spaces — from stylish screens to airy curtains and mobile shelves. In Olga Mashitakova's apartment, a room was zoned using a mesh partition. Since loft solutions in the capital require a substantial amount of money, Olga created her own unique model in Magnitogorsk. It turned out stylish and affordable — a creative idea that definitely deserves attention.
Unfinished Ceiling

Many people are afraid of rough surfaces in interiors, but Olga showed that with a proper approach, even an unfinished ceiling can become a stylish accent. According to the heroine, there's nothing unusual in the design process: during demolition, a layer of plaster was removed, so part of the ceiling in the office was left as a slightly broken reinforced concrete slab. As an addition, the team made a small gypsum board frame: this way, the edges were smooth, and the center was quite rough.
Universal Staircase

Another inspiring idea to draw from — a multifunctional staircase. In Anna Zueva's apartment, the staircase became not only an art object but also a storage space for scarves. The piece also serves its direct function — it's easy to climb up to the attic. Plus, the staircase easily moves to the library area: it's very convenient to get books from the upper shelves!
Bed Platform in Bedroom

Looking for an unconventional solution for your bedroom? Be inspired by Nikita Kovalyov's project: here the sleeping area is located on a platform. This allowed for a large storage space under the mattress. If the solution seems impractical, the hero warns that cleaning won't be an issue: thanks to a compact passage of 25–30 cm, you can easily change bedding and walk along the bed without discomfort.
Lighting on Panels

If you want to decorate the lighting in an interesting way, take a look at Ekaterina Kholodkova's project. The usual wall-mounted lights seemed too sparse to her, so in Ekaterina’s apartment, the ceiling light is mounted on oak panels. Channels for cables were cut into the back of the panel. The result is a beautiful and trendy interior addition that doesn’t look boring.
Gradient to Make Ceilings Appear Higher

This is helped by an interesting wall and ceiling finish: in Elena Danilevich's project, a soft color transition from blue to beige was used, and a light shade flows onto the ceiling. The gradient effect works beautifully with low ceilings: it visually increases them because the color border fades.
