7 Smart Life Hacks for Home, Spotted Among Our Heroes
Solutions that definitely deserve your attention
Everyone wants to organize not only a beautiful but also a functional space. At this moment, many questions arise: how to hide household appliances and not overload the kitchen countertop? Where is the best place to store an ironing board? And what about the clothes dryer?
We spotted 7 smart ideas from our heroes that will improve your life: get inspired, solve interior design problems, and adopt these solutions!
Personal Door for a Cat

Owners of pets have an additional task — to plan convenient space for their four-legged friends. Our heroine, Ekaterina Sivoratchenko, demonstrated a useful and very cute lifehack: she made a personal door for her cat Simba.
This solution was not invented on a whim: Ekaterina did not like plastic flaps in the doors, which spoil the apartment design. A small hole of a whimsical shape suited both the owner and guests, as well as the cat himself.
Outlet in a Slide-Out Drawer

Endless wires on surfaces — a problem everyone has faced. If you want to keep order and not clutter the interior with unnecessary details, take a cue from Natalia Poroshkina: on her kitchen, outlets and USB ports for charging are disguised in a slide-out drawer, so the countertop area always stays clean.
Slide-Out Outlets in the Countertop

When the kitchen design does not allow installing outlets on the wall, you can plan a stylish slide-out structure in the countertop. That’s exactly what was done in Ekaterina Kholodkova's apartment: here, the lifehack was a necessity. One wall of the project is made of glass, while another one uses tiles — the designer didn’t want to spoil the look with outlets.
Slide-Out Cabinet for Household Appliances

Another practical move worth adopting for all fans of minimalist design. If you don’t like storing kettles and blenders on the countertop, Natalia showed an interesting solution: on her kitchen, household appliances are stored in a slide-out cabinet made from acrylic countertop. Outlets are also hidden inside.
Ironing Board in a Cabinet

In small apartments, it's important to pay attention to effective space usage. For example, a bulky ironing board can take up too much space. To avoid cluttering the wardrobe or bathroom, Natalia installed a compact slide-out ironing board in one of the cabinet drawers — a practical solution for those who don’t iron a large amount of clothes.
Dryer Under the Sill

Storage of a dryer raises as many questions as an ironing board, but there are also unconventional lifehacks here. In Diana Bagrova's apartment, a wall-mounted foldable dryer is located under the sill: it is placed above the radiator, so clothes dry faster. When the dryer isn't in use, it’s easy to hide and save space.
Additional Slide-Out Countertop

If you love hosting guests and organizing big dinners, a regular surface for food prep might not be enough. In Tatiana Filonenko’s project, you can find a unique idea — an additional slide-out countertop hidden in one of the cabinet drawers. You don’t need to worry about strength: the surface can hold up to 100 kg.
