5 lifehacks for updating the interior, which we spotted in an artist's house
Cool tips you'll want to try
We visited Karina Kino, a wonderful artist-illustrator and decorator. She was happy to share her ideas for creating a cozy home with us. Let's look and take notes!
1. Comode from an ad
You don't have to buy new furniture and spend your last money when you can buy used furniture for a fraction of the cost and customize it to your taste. Karina couldn't find a commode that suited her taste and budget in stores. In the end, she bought a used commode from an ad on "Avito" for five thousand rubles. Karina sanded and painted it with paint, and also added Zara Home handles. Now it's the pride of the householder. And it looks magnificent.

2. Rope instead of baseboard
Karina came up with an interesting solution for ceiling edging in her home made of logs. Instead of a ceiling baseboard, she ran a thick rope in the corner. In this way, all corners and complex structures were neatly covered. Rope instead of baseboard fits loft, scandinavian, provence and country interiors.

3. Decorative shelves
The theme of a scandinavian fairy tale in Karina's home continues with a wonderful shelf-house. The back wall of the shelf is decorated with a print designed by the homeowner. The house stores remote controls and a small projector. It looks very beautiful and functional.

4. Open wiring
All electrical wiring in Karina's home is open in a retro style. In the hallway and outdoors, wires are enclosed in copper tubes for a more aesthetic look and practicality.

5. Bookshelf
A bookshelf from IKEA became an excellent solution to arrange all of Karina's beauty accessories in the bathroom. And, of course, Karina complemented it with a book.
