7 Things in Interior Design That Reveal Bad Taste

All in One Color
If you decorate the entire interior in one color and its numerous shades, the room will look boring and tasteless. To make the interior look stylish and harmonious, you need to plan contrasting combinations and build accents. Moreover, different color options should also be properly combined.

Infantilism
Trying to create a cozy feminine interior, it's important not to overdo it. Otherwise, an apartment full of pink shades, ruffles, and floral patterns will look like a dollhouse. If you want to add softness to the interior, use light neutral tones as a base. Instead of bright pink, choose muted and pastel tones. Use floral prints in small doses, for example, on sofa cushions.

Dust in the Eyes
Don't try to furnish your apartment expensively. Artificial decor won't make the interior better, but rather cheapen it. Avoid artificial elements such as plastic moldings, cheap photo wallpapers, tongue-and-groove panels, imitation of natural materials.
Pay attention to universal interior styles like Scandinavian, Loft, or Minimalism. They can make a space stylish without excessive decoration.

Vibrant Textile with Fancy Patterns
Textiles are a full-fledged part of interior design. They can organically complement the setting, make it cozier and more stylish or, on the contrary, ruin the entire design. For example, a strange pattern on bed linen with acid colors will disrupt the harmonious bedroom setting and nullify all the designer's efforts. It's better to choose a monochromatic set of bed linen — it looks stylish and expensive.

Curved Curtains with Valance
Complex multi-layered curtain systems make the interior tasteless. Simplicity, lightness, and minimalism are in trend today. In modern interiors, designers prefer to use concise natural fabrics and guide their window decoration according to the rule: less is more.

Decorative Tiles in the Bathroom
If the bathroom area is small, then the decoration should be modest and concise. Complex tile decor will visually make the room even more cramped and uncomfortable. Avoid mixing tiles in different colors, borders, mosaics. In a large bathroom, you can highlight one or two zones with tiles in another color or texture, for example, ceramic granite with a stone or wood look.

Colorful Kitchen Cabinet
Glossy facades in acid colors and a backsplash with images of flowers, fruits, or cities look flashy and cheap. If you want your kitchen to look modern and stylish, choose natural neutral tones in combination with wood or stone textures. Instead of shine, use matte finishes.
