Color

Using this technique, you can change scale, erase the boundaries of the ceiling and walls, bring walls closer or push them further apart. This is the fastest and most effective way to change a space.

There are several ways to use color:

• Paint existing doors the same color as the walls — doors will become unnoticeable and expand the space;
• Paint the ceiling and walls in the same color: this technique erases the boundaries between the ceiling and walls;
• Paint furniture the same color as the walls: this helps blend large furniture into the space.

Storage Spaces

In small apartments, there is always a lack of storage spaces. Look for hidden storage systems: beds with lift mechanisms for storage, sofas with internal compartments, wardrobes, built-in wardrobes, tables with drawers.
