Interior with Flamingo in the Bedroom

For a young client, designer Marina Karalkina created a bright interior with vivid details. For example, in the kitchen-dining area, she adorned the dining zone with a vibrant turquoise cabinet — this added mood to the interior. The sky-blue bedroom was complemented with dark contrasting wallpapers featuring flamingos. Now, romance is always in the air.

These apartments are located in a building on the premises of a former cardboard factory from the 19th century. Therefore, Anna Morozova tried to recreate the atmosphere of that time and prepared everything needed for comfortable rest (the client works a lot).

They chose a light and calm color palette, which was supported by furniture made from natural wood. To enhance the summer and romantic mood, the designer mounted white fabric canvases on the ceiling with adhesive hooks. They resemble sails and are easy to remove — the decor can be changed every day.

The client spent childhood in this district and dreamed of finding an apartment in a Stalin-era building — with high ceilings and large windows. Combined with the beautiful view from the window, it created a cozy and atmospheric environment.
