White monochrome Christmas tree — a 2020 trend
How can New Year be without a festive Christmas tree? To decorate your apartment with the main symbol of the holiday, there's no need to rush to the Christmas tree market for a live tree. Let yourself experiment and pay attention to a new trend — a white artificial Christmas tree. You can order it online and assemble it in just one evening.
A white tree requires no special ornaments: designer toys, beads, or garlands. Such a tree is already visually unique and unusual by itself.

Old-fashioned toys in retro style will look great on the tree, which you have stored since childhood: these are pinecones, silver icicles, and glass balls. When choosing the colors of the Christmas tree ornaments, it's better to prefer white, silver, and gold. These classic colors you can easily find on the shelves of any store.
There's no need to fear that their color will match the tree’s color: monochrome is an interesting and fashionable trend in design. Moreover, white and metallic tones are the favorite colors of the symbol of 2020 — the White Rat.

Handmade wheat wreath for Christmas
Finding the perfect Christmas wreath is not easy. However, it can be quickly made by hand using accessible materials. Use fir branches to create a classic wreath or unleash your creativity and choose unconventional materials. For example, you can buy wheat in a flower shop and place it around a metal ring. Such a thin and elegant wreath will look just as stylish as a full fir wreath.
To add bright accents, you can use small silver and gold balls or pinecones when making the wreath. A wheat wreath will become a unique décor element that is sure to attract guests' attention.
Candles — an essential part of decoration
If there's no time left to look for garlands — no problem! Ordinary candles can add warmth and light to your home. You can place them in the center of a Christmas wreath to create a small composition or scatter them around the apartment separately. Especially striking are candles in gold and silver tones. They can decorate even the most unremarkable interior!
If possible, also buy a few aromatic candles at home. Subtle notes of ginger, spicy cinnamon, or soft vanilla in the apartment will let you feel even the scent of the approaching holiday.
Advent calendar: it's not too late yet!
It is generally believed that an Advent calendar should be started one month before New Year. Therefore, most chocolate calendars sold in stores begin on December 1st. However, it's still not too late to buy a ready-made one or make it by hand just a week before the holiday. Just let January 1st be your starting point, as nobody forbids prolonging the New Year mood!
You can also make an Advent calendar in the form of a box with wishes for each family member: everyone will enjoy opening such a magical box daily and taking out kind wishes even after the New Year arrives.
Decoration for the holiday table
A week before New Year is the perfect time to think about how your New Year's table will look. There's still time to buy a new tablecloth and table runners with gold and silver patterns, choose festive napkins that can be changed with each new dish served. Family crystal glasses and large white dishes with gold or silver edging — bring out your best from the kitchen cabinets.
Decorating the table can also be helped by candles and strands of artificial pearls scattered between dishes. Remaining wheat from making the Christmas wreath can also be used to decorate the holiday table, thus maintaining a unified style of décor in the apartment.
