How to Set Up a Summer Shower on the Dacha: 5 Ideas
On a hot summer day, you constantly want to cool down, especially after working on the dacha plot. However, a full shower in the house is not always possible. In this case, an outdoor shower will come to the rescue, which everyone can build by themselves.
It can be built in various ways, but the common details remain unchanged for any variant — these are the frame, enclosure, tank, and tray. However, the ways of assembling them can be very diverse.
Preparation
A summer shower can be built from wood, metal profiles, and various plastics. For cladding, you can use plastic siding, boards, or simply attach waterproof film to the supports.

At the beginning of assembly, it is important to consider how many people will use the shower and how often. Based on this, the tank volume is calculated, as well as the presence of a special drain. If possible, equip the shower with a changing room to avoid wetting clothes.

Choose a location for the shower on an elevation — for better drainage — and in a sunny spot so that the water in the tank heats up faster.
You Will Need:- Tank Rostok for a garden shower with 110 liters
- Tank for a garden shower with 200 liters and heating option
- Garden shower hose with tap
- Assembly dacha shower "Vitality"
For infrequent use, a drainage layer under the tray will be sufficient. But if the shower will be used daily by several people, a septic tank will be needed.
Next to it, you can plant moisture-loving plants that provide natural drainage.

After choosing a location for the shower, you can start building it. We describe five simple options.
Shower Cabin from Wood
This cabin is easy to assemble. For cladding, you can use siding, blockhouse, or faux log, and it is necessary to leave gaps of 2–3 mm between the boards. This is needed so that, when wet, the wood can expand without problems.
Before painting, it is necessary to thoroughly prime the walls — for example, with bioprotective anti-fungal impregnation. After it dries, paint the cabin with facade acrylic water-thin lacquer in three layers.

Shower from Polycarbonate
When polycarbonate is mentioned, a greenhouse comes to mind. Most people immediately ask: how to use such a shower, it’s transparent? But there is a special opaque material for shower cabins.
A summer shower made from polycarbonate on a metal profile is more durable than a wooden one. In addition, polycarbonate is easy to use and requires no special care.
Polycarbonate is a durable material. It does not require special care.
You Will Need:- Polycarbonate honeycomb sheet Actual 4 mm
- Cement PC500
- Profiled pipe 40x20x3000 mm
- Angle 50x50x30x5 mm
Shower from Brick
This variant requires more physical and material effort. However, such a shower will serve you for many years. In addition, it can be equipped with heating: install a heating element in the metal tank with a power of at least 2 kW.
You Will Need:- Building brick
- Entrance door with frame
- 3-hook strip
- Profiled sheet
Shower from Profiled Sheet
This material is characterized by lightness, strength, and durability. It can be used for cladding a shower cabin whether it is made of wood or metal. However, since the material is quite soft, it needs to be equipped with transverse beams for additional stiffness.

Simple Option
The simplest construction of a shower is installed near a solid wall of the house or shed. The floor of such a shower is made of a wooden tray or a poured concrete area, which for convenience is covered with a rubber mat. The walls are made of a polythene curtain or canvas fabric wrapped around a wooden frame.
