Bright House in Sweden with Welcoming Interior
Modern homes and apartments are shrinking, and the old-fashioned habit of visiting each other's homes is increasingly being replaced by meetings at neutral venues—cafes or bars. This two-story house of 158 square meters in Stockholm, listed for sale by the Swedish real estate agency Bjurfors, is just right for those who cherish traditional gatherings with loved ones.

The layout includes two floors and five rooms in total, three of which are bedrooms. The remaining space is occupied by two bathrooms with a sauna in one of them, a walk-in closet, a garage on the first floor, and two spacious public areas.

On the first floor, there is a living room with minimal furniture and decoration, accessible from a spacious entrance hall and corridor that divide the space into two parts.
Since there are no windows in this small room, it can be converted into an additional closet or changing area. If more guests arrive than expected, extra space for shoes and outerwear will come in handy.

A small wooden staircase leads to the second floor, where there is another public area—a living room connected to the kitchen.
The kitchen itself is partially tucked into a niche, well-organized despite its apparent smallness, and houses all necessary appliances. Just enough to prepare plenty of homemade food and set a table for a large company.

The dining room is located next to the cooking zone, and if there isn’t enough space at the dining table for everyone, one can sit in the living room on a sofa, armchair, or wide banquette. The kitchen-dining area and living room are delicately separated by wallpaper: a soft stripe on one side of the space and solid-colored wallpaper on the other.

There are more cozy spots for enjoying delicious food and cheerful conversations: a covered terrace attached to the house where a large group can gather comfortably.
In summer, more cushions and throws can be brought in, planters with greenery added, and outdoor string lights can be used to enhance the atmosphere—making the home feel much cozier and more intimate among family and friends than a café, no matter how you look at it.
