If you want something special in your interior, try thinking along these lines: we offer several bright and easy-to-implement solutions

A beautiful and striking interior does not necessarily require an expensive renovation, exclusive furniture, or complex layout. A memorable and vibrant detail of your apartment can be an unconventional kitchen apron or an original floor. In this article, we have gathered several ideas that are easy to implement without the help of professionals.

Experiment with floor finishing

Laminate, wood planks, tiles, and ceramic granite — these are probably all the options that come to mind when choosing floor covering. But the floor itself can be an interesting accent in interior design.

An interesting new alternative is Plasma3D coating — with its help, you can create a variety of effects: from cracked earth to marble imitation. The feature of this coating is that it can be applied to any surface: floors, walls, or furniture.

In case of application to the floor, it is not necessary to remove old ceramic tiles or laminate, which saves time and money. These coatings are also wear-resistant and environmentally safe, and can be used with a warm floor system, unlike poured floors.

Plan wall decoration

The ideal option is to choose neutral finishing for all walls and make one accent wall. The only limit here is your imagination. For an accent wall, you can choose classic options — paint in a contrasting tone, cover with printed wallpaper, decorate with brick or stone imitation, or go for more unconventional solutions and materials.

Here are several ideas for inspiration.

In this project, designers mixed matte paint, textured wallpapers, and moldings. In this project, parquet was installed on the wall. Deep, rich tone + lots of bright art. Wooden strips extending to the ceiling add warmth to spacious rooms. Another trendy solution is a plant wall and mirrors. Gradient and trending tone — a reference to Memphis style, which is currently back in vogue.

Create an original kitchen apron

The easiest way to refresh the kitchen interior and make it visually more upscale is with an expensive apron made of natural stone or marble. However, the price of such slabs is usually not budget-friendly. Another drawback is that standard aprons, which are 2–3 meters wide, often do not fit in elevators, and must be carried manually. Installation occurs after kitchen assembly, so any error — for example, a misaligned hole for an outlet — requires rework.

A good alternative is a stone-imitating decorative plaster apron. It allows you to save not only on the material itself, but also on its delivery, lifting, and installation. It also eliminates the drawbacks of natural materials: it is easy to apply and can be replaced if necessary. Moreover, it is impact and oil-resistant since a special lacquer is applied on top.

This apron can be classic in natural color or in an unconventional bright tone.

Decorate a modern shower area

Besides traditional tiles, there are many interesting options for bathroom and shower room finishing. How about decorative art concrete plaster? It can be used both in combination with tiles and independently.

This type of finishing fits perfectly into a modern minimalist interior with a barrier-free shower. Despite its matte, slightly textured surface, this material is moisture-resistant and very easy to maintain.

Don’t be afraid of complex art

Despite the common stereotype, large and vibrant art objects suit any room: large spaces they bring together into a cohesive whole and add the desired accent, while small ones visually enlarge.

Art objects don’t have to be paintings. They can be an unusual shelf or a massive mirror — anything you like. And you can easily make one yourself.
